Ask for Luigi Named Among the Best Italian Restaurants in the World

Ask for Luigi has been recognized as one of the world’s top Italian restaurants by Gambero Rosso, the leading authority on Italian food and wine. The popular restaurant was one of seven restaurants in Vancouver to be awarded in the prestigious Top Italian Restaurants international guidebook, which has been produced since 2016.

The Top Italian Restaurants awards ceremony took place during Gambero Rosso’s 2023 Tre Bicchieri World Tour, which came to Vancouver, B.C. on June 2, 2023. Italian restaurants, wine bars and pizzerias across the city were recognized for delivering an authentic and elevated Italian dining experience through a three-point rating system, which awards restaurants with Forks, bistros and trattorias with Shrimps, wine bars and wine tables with Bottles, and pizzerias with Slices.

Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Railtown, Ask for Luigi was honoured with one coveted Fork. The casual and intimate restaurant specializes in fresh, handmade pasta and family-style dishes designed to share, complemented by an extensive Italian wine list with an emphasis on small producers and unique, indigenous varieties.
