Quaker Canada Launches Nationwide Initiative to Encourage Neighbourliness
As Canadians, we pride ourselves on taking care of one another. However, a new survey commissioned by Quaker Canada reveals that while many of us want to be good neighbours, we often don’t know our neighbours very well.
The survey found that only 30% of British Columbians feel a very strong sense of community with their neighbours, and more than half (60%) don’t even know their neighbours.
In response to this finding, Quaker Canada is launching a nationwide initiative to encourage Canadians to extend a warm welcome to their neighbours. The initiative includes the launch of a QUAKERborough Welcome Kit, which is filled with beloved Quaker pantry staples and an exclusive QUAKERborough crewneck.
Quaker is encouraging Canadians to gift a care package to a neighbour and spark new connections across their communities. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the kits will be donated to Food Banks Canada.
The QUAKERborough Welcome Kit is available for purchase at quakerborough.ca.
