Northern Italian-Inspired Alla Famiglia at Farina a Legna

Farina a Legna recently turned 3 and introduced a few new autumn items. One of the new fan favourites is Pesto di Nocciole, a pesto made with roasted hazelnut instead of pine nuts. The roasted hazelnut pesto was deliciously creamy, nutty, vegan and gluten-free.

For a fun dine-out idea, Farina a Legna has a special Alla Famiglia dinner for 2, 4 or 6 people. It’s a family-style Northern Italian-inspired experience with wood-fired oven pizza and handmade pasta. We got dinner for two which included 1 antipasti e insalete, 1 pasta, 1 pizze and 1 dolci.

Alla Famiglia Order:

Polpette al Forno – beef & pork wood-fired meatballs, tomato sauce, parmigiano, olive oil, basil

Pesto di Nocciole – spaghettoni, roasted hazelnut pesto, zucchini, mushrooms, peas, arugula, grana padano

Finocchiona – tomato sauce, fennel sausage, provolone, parmigiano reggiano, sweet peppers, basil

Tiramisu della Nonna – mascarpone cream, lady finger cookies, espresso

Farina a Legna’s sister restaurants Ask For Luigi, Bacaro, and Carlino has been named Michelin Recommended in the inaugural Michelin Guide Vancouver.
