Converse x JW Anderson teamed up for Simply_Complex collection

For Spring 2018, Converse has teamed up with British designer Jonathan Anderson again for a new capsule collection. The Simply_Complex collection blurs the line between high fashion and street style. Anderson focused on textures and materials by mashing up classic brogue shoe detailing, inverted suede, patchwork denim on the Converse’s Chuck 70 and Thunderbolt silhouettes.

Inspired by traditional brown menswear shoe, the Converse Chuck 70 is elevated with premium suede. The Chuck 70 XX Hi is done in a flesh out leather which is suede on the outer and the leather on the inside of the sneaker. It creates a comfortable, lived-in feel. The serrated edging on the tongue on both the Chuck 70 Hi and XX Hi are a nod to the traditional brown shoe.

The Converse Thunderbolt comes in two asymmetrical version in suede and denim. The Denim Thunderbolt is constructed with three different raw indigo denims. The denim sneaker is designed to get better with age just like your favourite pair of jeans. The asymmetrical Thunderbolt also features soft goat leather sock lining.
