Cineplex Unveils New IMAX Experience at Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver

Cineplex has just opened its newest IMAX auditorium at the Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver. This state-of-the-art IMAX auditorium showcases the latest in IMAX technology, including dual IMAX XT laser projection, enhanced digital audio, and new wide rocker seats, ensuring viewers are completely immersed in the magic of the movies with crisp visuals and intense, heart-pounding sound.

Located at 900 Burrard Street and occupying over 70,000 square feet, the theatre boasts nine auditoriums with a total of 2,136 seats and employs more than 85 Vancouverites.

Besides the new IMAX auditorium, Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver offers a variety of premium cinematic experiences:

ScreenX: Located in auditorium 6, ScreenX features a 270-degree panoramic view that naturally fills your peripheral vision, creating an immersive environment.

UltraAVX: Found in auditorium 2, UltraAVX boasts superior picture quality and stunningly crisp detail. Coupled with Dolby Atmos sound technology, it surrounds audiences from all angles for a truly immersive experience.

D-BOX: Also in auditorium 2, D-BOX offers 30 seats equipped with motion technology synchronized with the on-screen action. Viewers can adjust the intensity of the haptic feedback to enhance their experience.

RealD 3D: Available in five auditoriums, RealD 3D is the most widely used 3D cinema technology, delivering realistic and fully immersive visuals.
